Mrs Cockatoo / Metalbird
As icons go, the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo would have to be in the medals when it came to the 'preferred pirate accessories' category when crossed over with 'bird'. Cockatoo's are social by nature choosing to maraud in large groups that can number in their hundreds. This grouping combined with their loud calls and vocalisations can produce quite the aural assault when they choose to perch in the local parks' leafy trees to avoid the hottest part of the Australian day, and the excretion danger - let's not even go there.
The wily Cockatoo loves to eat tubers, fruit, flowers and insects.
This one is available in two versions, produced in 3mm Corten steel and will rust quite happily to a rich brown.
